Icing

For the early recovery of injury

If an injury occurs, immediate and appropriate treatment will make a major difference in recovery. Immediately after the injury, a first-aid procedure called "RICE" is helpful.

Icing with RICE treatment is effective in the acute phase of injury.

"RICE" already common in the United States in advanced sports medicine. Acronyms of rest (Rest), cooling (Icing), compression (Compression), and elevation (Elevation) refer to the technique of first aid.
